Colonials win second straight NCCGA Atlantic Regional Tournament to open Spring 2022

Willoughby Hills, OH- The Men's Club Golf team picked up their second tournament victory of the spring season at the Manakiki Golf Course during the first weekend of April. The Colonials had two teams enter in the 6 team field, along with two WVU teams, a team from Akron, and a Slippery Rock team. The Colonial's primary squad finished 1st place out of the 6 and the B squad finished 4th, and 1st out of the 2 B squads. RMU also had some individuals compete as part of a C squad, but no team score was registered for them.

RMU finished the tournament with a total score of 393, only +33 over par as a team. They beat 2nd place West Virginia by 11 strokes and 3rd place Akron by 54. The B squad finished with a 455, +95 over par.

Individually, junior Aaron Fetzner for the Colonials was the class of the field, shooting only +3 over par for a score of 75. He led the way as RMU controlled the players in the top 3, with Steven Ross at a 77, tied for 2nd place with Cole Bogozi. Lucas Gawlinski was the B squad's top performer with an 87, +15 over par.
