Canton, OH- The Men's Club Golf team traveled to Canton to compete in their 2nd regional tournament of the year at the Quarry Golf Club. Not only did they pick up another pair of Top 5's but they picked up the tournament win as well! RMU's A team finished first overall out of nine schools, with the B team finishing 5th and the C team finishing 9th. 

The A squad put together a stellar weekend thanks to a very strong opening round on Saturday. The team shot a 387, the lowest round of any school all weekend. They followed that up with a 394 the next day for a 781 total. It was the only sub-800 round of the tournament, and RMU finished 61 over par in their first place effort. Captain Cole Bogozi led the way only 9 over par with a 153, and finished 2nd overall in the tournament. RMU A had 5 players within the Top 8 of the field.

The B squad had a solid weekend overall as well, shooting a 436 in Round 1 and a 428 in Round 2 to place 5th. Their final total of 864 was +144 over par, only 7 strokes off of 4th, and 53 strokes ahead of 6th. Chase Conroy had a stellar weekend for RMU B, cracking the Top 10 of the overall tournament with a 162 (18 over par).

RMU was the only team to bring three full teams to this tournament, and the C squad finished 9th. They shot a 490 in Round 1 and a 477 in Round 2 for a total of 967. The team's top performer was John Morgus. He put up a 181 over the weekend, finishing +37 over par. Overall in the tournament field he finished tied for 35th.

RMU's final regional tournament of the fall is October 16th and 17th at the Uniontown Country Club in Uniontown, PA.
