Freeport, PA - Robert Morris University's men's club golf team resumed their team play after a long layoff due to the pandemic. The team took 1st place in the Atlantic Region #1 tournament held at Birdfoot's Golf Course on April 10th and 11th. The team was led by
Jacob Klawuhn who shot a first round 74, and
Cole Bogozi, who shot a first round 76. The duo took first and second place overall respectively. The Colonials dominated the leader board, with
Steven Ross,
Chase Conroy,
Aaron Fetzner,
Cameron Copeland, and
Spencer Yutzy all finishing among the top ten golfers at the tournament. The Colonials top team shot a first round 392 and second round 394, which far outpaced second place University of Akron, who shot rounds of 460 and 456.Â
The win qualified the Colonials for the NCCGA Championship Tournament, which will be held the weekend of April 22nd in Atlantic City, NJ.
