Columbus, OH - The RMU Men's and Women's Club Bowling Teams came out strong in their season opener conference tournament. The teams competed in the first Ohio Bowling Conference tournament of the season with all three teams finding varying levels of success. The Men's Varsity team placed 3rd overall out of 19 teams, the Women's Varsity team finished 9th out of 18 teams, and the Men's JV team finished 6th out of 13.
Men's Varsity:
The Men's Varsity team finished with a third place finish overall, and some individual players too found great success in the tournament. Senior Matthew Hanson finished in 1st place in the men's division earning individual honors in the High Game and the High 5 Game Series. Junior James Meyer finished very close behind in 2nd place, and finally senior Alexander Smith finished 9th for the Colonials also earning an honorable mention award. The varsity team finished with an overall total score of 6955 putting them only 83 points behind the winners.
Men's JV:
Out of 13 teams, the Colonial's JV team came in 6th place and junior Nicholas Huth placed 10th overall.
Women's Varsity:
The Women's Varsity team found themselves in the top 10 finishing 9th with an overall total score of 5602. Sophomore Grace Oklota led the team finishing 19th in the women's division and junior Josalyn Hibbard finished closely behind in 20th place overall for the Colonials.
