The Robert Morris University bowling teams kicked off their season in impressive fashion at the Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC) #1 Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio. The event featured strong competition, with RMU fielding teams in both men's and women's divisions across varsity and junior varsity play.
The men's varsity team delivered an outstanding performance, capturing first place out of 20 teams. Leading the way was Chase Smith, who earned second place overall and a spot on the All-Tournament Team with an impressive 239.3 average. Blayze Denny followed with a 13th-place finish and a 206.7 average, while Clay Thomas secured 19th place with a 199.7 average.
The women's varsity team also made a strong showing, finishing sixth out of 14 teams. Grace Oklota was a standout performer, taking third place overall and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team with a 205.0 average. Aileena Sargeant added depth to the lineup, finishing 20th overall with a 165.3 average.
In the men's junior varsity division, RMU continued its success, finishing second out of 15 teams. Jonathan Bernotas led the way with a 7th-place finish and a 201.7 average, rounding out an impressive day for the Colonials.
