Moon, PA -  The Men's Club Soccer team opened their season with a big win last weekend over California University of Pennsylvania. In a dominant performance, the team secured a 12-0 victory over Western Penn. The game was marked by an impressive offensive display as the Colonials had eight different goal scorers. 

Freshman Brendan Strawser stood out as the top goal scorer of the game, netting three goals. Senior captain Ray Thomas and senior Miller Mason also had significant contributions, each adding two goals. On the defensive end, the goalkeepers for the Colonials gave a stellar performance. Senior Jake Hall and freshman Connor Dunlap combined forces to maintain a clean sheet, shutting out their opponent. 

This big win for the Colonials not only showcased the team's offensive skills but highlighted the depth of talent this year with multiple players contributing to the win. When asked about the upcoming season, Junior Bryce Kirk said "Our team has been looking forward to this season since last year. We have 8 seniors and 19 returners from last year, along with a very talented freshman class. There is a lot to be excited about and I hope we can show that on the field. Our senior captains, Ray Thomas and Joe Salemi, are the perfect guys to lead this mixture of veterans and youth. It was nice to get a win under our belt this past weekend, but this week's game vs West Virginia will be a real test for us. This has been circled on our schedule since it was finalized." 

Men's Club Soccer looks to keep the momentum going this weekend as they host West Virginia University Saturday September 9th at 12:00pm at the North Atlantic Complex.
