Women's Volleyball Opens Season

RMU takes on Pitt, Slippery Rock, WVU

Pittsburgh, PA- Women's Club Volleyball opened their season downtown in a tournament against some local universities. On the court, RMU didn't find a ton of success but they did gain a lot of valuable experience going into the next tournament of the season.

RMU opened against Pitt Gold in what was on paper their roughest game of the day. The Colonials were swept 2-0 with games of 8-25 and 13-25. Next up was Slippery Rock B, and RMU had a much more competitive matchup with them. While still a 2-0 loss for RMU, the scores were 17-25 and 21-25. In the final match of the round robin, RMU faced West Virginia. This match was RMU's closest of the day, dropping the games 18-25 and 21-25. RMU was eliminated in the bracket play by WVU in a 11-25 game.

The Women's Club Volleyball team will be in action next on November 7th at a tournament hosted by IUP.
