The Domers open their regular season with a trip to West Virginia to take on conference opponent Fairmont State on Saturday the 7th. It will mark the first time since 2017 the two clubs have squared off. RMU will be looking to settle the score against Fairmont this time around. The 2017 match ended in a high scoring 40-33 victory for Fairmont. Both squads are coming off of strong seasons last year entering this matchup. The Colonials won the Three Rivers Rugby Conference Championship last year with a decisive win over Franciscan University 19-0 in the finals. Fairmont State, while not qualifying for the Conference Championship, did make the finals of the Three Rivers Rugby Conference Challenge Cup. They fell to Geneva College in that match 19-7.
