Moon, PA- League of Legends is one of the most well-recognized and popular Esports in the world. The game is fairly simple, two teams of five players compete to destroy the other team's Nexus. The Nexus is located at the heart of the enemies base on the other side of the map. Each player chooses a "champion", a unique character with their own strengths and weaknesses to accomplish this task. Each player has to rely on their teammates to cover different parts of the map, and teamwork and communication  are key RMU's Legend of Legends team competed in their first match this weekend, defeating the University of New Haven in a best of 3 series 2-0. 

RMU handled the opposition with ease, with both matches ending in less than 25 minutes of time. Each member of the team performed well, but the top players were Slurpe (Ryan Conti), Blaze (Jacob Verno), and Russ (Jonathan Russell). In the both matches, Slurpe and Russ struck first and dominated the bottom lane from start to finish in both matches. Blaze disposed of the entire other team with a penta in the opposing base to close out the second match and the series. Slurpe recorded several triples, which can be found here.

The team's next match will be against Central Connecticut State University.
