MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Robert Morris University Men's Club Rugby team will return to Joe Walton Stadium on Thursday, October 1, welcoming Slippery Rock University for the program's annual Homecoming matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., with the game set to be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The Homecoming matchup marks another opportunity for RMU to showcase the growth of the program on a national platform while continuing the momentum built during a historic 2025 season.

RMU Men's Rugby enters the 2026 season following its most successful campaign in program history. The Colonials finished the 2025 season with a 10–1 record, including an undefeated record in Allegheny Rugby Union play, before capturing the ARU Division IV Championship.

The Colonials continued their postseason run in the Steel Belt Bowl, defeating Le Moyne University 49–12 to cap a championship season and the longest season in the 23-year history of RMU Men's Rugby.

The success extended beyond the field as well. The program grew its roster to 25 players during the 2025 campaign, its largest roster since 2019, while building additional momentum and visibility for RMU Club Rugby.

Thursday's matchup also serves as an opening event of RMU's Homecoming weekend, leading into the University's Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 3.
