Columbus, Ohio - The RMU Men's and Women's Club Bowling Teams continued their strong performance at the second conference tournament in Columbus on Saturday, October 19.
The Women's Varsity team was once again in the top 10, with a very strong 3rd place finish with an overall score of 5264, just missing out on 2nd place by 22 pins. A huge congratulations to junior Grace Oklota, who finished 2nd out of 132 women bowlers with an average of 213.
Additionally, senior Josalyn Hibbard, who came in 7th place averaged 198 and bowled a career-high 277 game. Senior Meghan Schwab finished in 17th place with an average of 187, and junior Kaylee Zuzak finished 23rd with a 181 average.
"I'm very proud of how our women competed at the tournament. They were focused, never gave up, and proved they are determined to win" said women's co-coach, Katie Shumaker.

The Men's Varsity team finished 9th with a total score of 5565. Freshman Severo Gordon lead the team by finishing 6th out of 185 bowlers with a 227 average. Senior Jay Meyer came in 12th place with an average of 216, and freshman Clay Thomas finished in 18th place with an average of 214.
In the Men's JV division, the men finished in 3rd place with a total score of 5536. A big shout out to senior Mark Livingston who finished in 2nd place with a 216 average, which included a 276 game.
"The teams and the coaching staff are doing RMU proud. Their hard work at practice is paying off" said John Michalenko, Director, Collegiate Club Bowling Team.

Up next, the varsity teams will travel to Coshocton, Ohio on November 5th to compete in the Muskie Mash Tournament.
