As the hockey season reaches its end it's time to reflect on the club hockey players that will be graduating and moving on from the program. In total these 10 players have contributed greatly to the success and development of RMU's prestigious club hockey program.
Â
#1 G Parker Rutherford (D1) - Fort Wayne (IN) native spent all 4 collegiate seasons with the Colonials. Parker became the backup immediately upon his entrance into the program. Rutherford earned even more playing time as the backup in 2021-22 after not seeing the ice much in the shortened Covid year. Rutherford took over the starting role in 2022-23 and never looked back going 13-4-1 with a 2.94 goals against average (GAA) and a .926 save percentage (SV%), some of the best across the country. Rutherford finished his career with a 2.91GAA and a .929SV%.

Â
#9 F Justin Adamski (D1) - Gibsonia (PA) native who spent 4 seasons with the Colonials. Adamski immediately entered the program and became one of the best players on his team as only a freshman putting up 30 points in 34 games. Little did he know what was to follow after his historic rookie season. A championship in 2020, named captain in 2021-22, and finishing in the top 10 in points in 2021-22 and 2022-23 are just some of the many accomplishments for Adamski. 156 points, 65 goals, and a 1.56 points per game in only 100 career games. Adamski will go down as one of the best players in program history.Â

Â
#10 F Camron Smith (D1) - Montour High School (PA) native spent all 6 of his college eligible seasons with the Colonials totaling 56 points in 106 career games. Smith was one of the key members in getting the Colonials to an ACHA championship in the 2020-21 season. The biology/pre med major caps off his career with 13 points and a faceoff percentage of over 60% in 2021-22 and 2022-23. Smith was one of the best penalty killers and two way players on his team and was always counted on to win that key draw. Smith also joined the Roller Hockey team in 2022-23 and looks to help lead them to a national championship later this month.Â

Â
#14 F Nathan Mickey (D1) - Penn Trafford (PA) native, who spent 5 seasons with the Colonials. Similar to Adamski, he had a historic rookie season putting up 46 points in 35 games and earning himself a championship title that season as well. Mickey continued his dominance his sophomore year with 52 points in 37 games. The Covid year he put up over 2 points per game en route to his second championship in three years. Mickey returned halfway through the 2021-22 season to pursue his masters degree and continue playing the game he loves earning 16 points in 10 games. In his final season, he finished third on the team in points with 37 and led his team all the way to the CHMA finals where they fell just short. In total Mickey finished with 162 points and 73 goals in only 115 contests. Mickey will go down as one of the best players in program history.Â

Â
#15 F Roman Kraemer (D1) - The story of the hometown Moon (PA) native is a fun one. After playing 2 years of RMU NCAA hockey, he elected to play hockey with the club team rather than transferring. What he was able to accomplish in the last 2 seasons is nothing short of remarkable. He led the team in points both seasons and finished top 5 in the entire country in points as well. 132 points, 62 goals, and a 2.16 points per game in only 61 games. Kraemer off and one the ice was a leader and everything he did on the ice only grew the attention of the club hockey spotlight making Sportscenter, TSN, amongst other hockey outlets showing off his spinning goal. Kraemer in his short time with the club hockey program has done so much that will help continue to grow the game.Â

Â
#30 G Kevin Mackey (D1) - Dematha Catholic Prep (MD) native spent 4 seasons with the Colonials and earned himself a championship title as well. The Alternate Captain Mackey, proved to be the man for the job putting up an astonishing 3.20 Goals Against Average and a .915 save percentage over his 56 game career. A leader on and off the ice not many people can match what the business management major has been able to do through his RMU career becoming one of the best in RMU club history.Â

Â
#14 F Sydney Spuzzillo (D2) - North Royalton (OH) native who played in the inaugural season for the D2 women's club team. Named Alternate Captain prior to the season and put up 2 goals and 8 points in 16 collegiate games. Spuzzillo worked club games as a student manager for the past 4 seasons and even got the opportunity to work a NHL all star game in 2022. On and off the ice a true leader who got to play one final season of hockey before graduating this spring.Â

Â
#30 G Nick Arcaya (D3) - Pittsburgh, PA native spent 3 years in the net for the Colonials playing in 29 career games. Arcaya finishes with a 4.02 Goals Against Average and a .891 save percentage. The psychology major capped off his final season with a 3-5-2 record, a 3.57 Goals Against Average, and a .893 save percentage which were all career highs. Arcaya plans to come back next season to help coach his former teammates as an assistant coach.Â

Â
#19 D Chris Nemeth (D4) - NorthHampton Area High (PA) native who spent 4 seasons dawning the red white and blue. Even though stats weren't kept very well on the Division 4 team, Nemeth made his name well known across the RMU landscape. He was part of the first Division 4 team and has guided them all the way to a championship this past year as captain. A true leader on and off the ice who capped off his career hoisting that trophy over his head.Â

Â
#31 G Jarrod Hernandez (D4) - Norwin (PA) native joined the D4 Colonials for one final go at hockey before graduation. He came in relief for his first college appearance and looked comfortable as he could be after taking a couple years off. Hernandez capped off his hockey career also hoisting that trophy over his head helping lead his team to the championship.Â
From all of us here at the Club Sports Media Team we wish these 10 players nothing but the best in their future endeavors and thank them for all they have done for the growing Robert Morris University club hockey team.
