Moon, PA- The Robert Morris iRacing team had themselves their best day of the CiL season so far in the penultimate race of the season for the Oval Series. The team improves each and every race, and it's showing on track with the results the team is putting up. At the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, RMU tied their best ever finish in a race at 13th. They also set new records in Top 15's in a race (2) and Top 20's in a race (3).

The Colonials stuck together when they could in this race and it paid off. Three of the four RMU drivers qualified back to back to back. Bradley Daniels was RMU's top qualifier in 26th, with Austin Trainor 27th, and Treston Yoder in 28th. Fourth driver Alexander Gagnon was a little more off the pace, and qualified 34th.

Daniels and Yoder did a great job of sticking with each other and working their way through the field. Always having a draft partner with you helped them both find a little more speed down Indianapolis' long straightaways. Despite being caught up in a massive wreck on the front stretch on Lap 24 and having to use their quick repair, the two rallied back for a 13th and 15th place finish respectively. Both drivers' set a personal best in finishing position and positions gained in a CiL event.

Trainor got some damage early in the race that caused him to fall off the pace slightly. Despite being 24th during the first restart, the damage hindered the car to the point where he was 37th by the midway point in the race. Having also gotten caught up in the Lap 24 wreck and using his fast repair, he was able to make up a little more ground. But ultimately Trainor finished 34th.

Gagnon once again went for an aggressive pit strategy that played out really well at Auto Club Speedway two weeks prior. He pitted earlier than most of the field when he was just inside the fuel window to make the end of the race. This gamble shuffled him into 3rd place for the final restart after the Lap 24 caution since he was ahead of the wreck when it happened. Despite having to defend position after position against cars with fresher tires, he was able to bring it home 20th.

The iRacing team's next race will be November 9th for the final Road Series race at SPA, while the final Oval Series race of the year will be November 16th at Homestead Miami Speedway.
