Moon, PA- On Thursday night, RMU squared off against Franciscan at Joe Walton Stadium. The match was one to watch as the two titans of the conference clashed for a crucial win here early in the season. However, the Domers ultimately lost 14-12 in a very close matchup. 

Franciscan got ahead early with a couple of tries and successful conversions, pulling ahead to a 14-0 lead at the half. Coming out the second half, the Colonials regrouped and fought their way back into the match. RMU got a try early in the second half to bring the game to 14-5, but a failed sharp angle conversion did not find its way home. The Domers pounded in another try with less than 10 to play, getting the crowd going as they closed in on Franciscan to make it 14-12. That is where the scoring would end for the match though, and the Domers fall to 1-1 so far this season in Three Rivers Rugby Conference play. 

Coming up next for the Domers will be a trip to Meadville, PA for a match with Allegheny College. The match is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st at noon.
