Moon, PA- RMU's Counter Strike: Global Offensive squad was back in action over the weekend against Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. While the match ended 2-0 in favor of Edinboro, both games in the match were incredibly close. In the 30 game sets, RMU fought valiantly but just could not quite seal the deal as they fell 16-14 in each of them. Once again, a last minute sub into the roster was how the match began for the team.
While it was not a win there is no denying the improvement the team has made so far in this young season. The team chemistry is starting to form, and the players are starting to make things happen because of it. They are even taking the advantage in some scenarios. In the 4 pistol rounds of the match, the Colonials won 3 of them. Unfortunately, Robert Morris couldn't capitalize on it. RMU is playing with a lot more confidence and it won't be long before that starts translating to more wins.
Shr3dd3r (
William Clegg) and ExtenZive (
Andrew Swallow) both had strong series. Shr3dd3r had the highest Average Damage per Round (ADR- 100.57) between either team on the first map, Inferno. On the second map Overpass, ExtenZive eliminated 27 enemies which tied him for 1st in the game.
Next up for the team is the College of New Jersey, and will be going down on Sunday November 24th, at 3 pm.
