CS:GO Takes On Penn State

11/5/2019 1:47:00 PM

Moon, PA- Counter Strike: Global Offensive (otherwise known as CS:GO) is one of the most popular Esports of all time. RMU's team may be just getting off the ground, but they're taking on schools from across the country such as the University of Maryland. However, this week they got to square off against Penn State University. RMU dropped the contest by a score of 2-0, but the team is steadily improving from their practices and getting competitive experience facing other programs.

The team utilized a last minute sub before the beginning of the match, so the chemistry was not ideal for the Colonials. That said the players still worked hard to pick up a victory, with some going above and beyond. ExtenZive (Andrew Swallow) pulled off a beautiful solo play on the second map. His 3 versus 1 clutch is perhaps a sign of what is to come for the Robert Morris CS:GO team.

Captain William Clegg added "We're improving from last weeks matchup". This progress is hoped to be extended in practice in preparation for their next match. Their next opponent would have been Lycoming College, but they dropped out of competition earlier this season. RMU will be automatically credited with the victory. Their next match will be against Edinboro University of Pennsylvania on November 17th, at 3pm.
