10/21/2019 2:46:00 PM

Moon, PA- Men's Rugby ended their regular season with a 50-17 victory over Slippery Rock University at Joe Walton Stadium. Brendan Boyd was named Man of the Match for his 3 try performance in the victory. Captain Ryan Lowden-Stoole also a key contributor in the win. Despite winning by 33 points, it is the smallest margin of victory the Domers have had in a win this season. They now finished 6-1 on the regular season and their lone loss was a mere 2 point defeat against Franciscan.

The Domers have outscored their opponents 367-74 this season in 7 games. In 5 of these 7 games they have scored 50+ points, and they have scored 70+ points in two of the games. Defensively they held the opposition to 7 points or less in 4 games this season. The Domers have been one of the most dominant teams in the country this season, but will have to settle as the number 2 seed in the playoffs this season behind Franciscan. It is likely Robert Morris will make the Three Rivers Rugby Conference finals against Franciscan based off how each team's season has gone. The most recent NSCRO rankings place Franciscan 4th and RMU 12th.
