An exciting and impactful community event is set to take place on April 23 in the Pittsburgh area, as Robert Morris University partners with Disability Media Network to host an Adaptive Sports clinic and demonstration during NFL Draft week.

Founded by Jennifer Price, Disability Media Network is a Pittsburgh-based streaming platform dedicated to amplifying stories and content created by and featuring people with disabilities, with a growing focus on adaptive sports. This upcoming event brings that mission into a live, interactive setting.

In collaboration with the Ryan Shazier Fund and Adaptive Sports Ohio, the event will feature athletes and coaches from the Cleveland Browns wheelchair football team. Attendees can expect a dynamic experience that includes demonstrations and hands-on drills modeled after an NFL Combine, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage with adaptive athletics firsthand.

The event will take place in an indoor athletic facility at Robert Morris University and is expected to host approximately 12–15 participants, along with additional attendees from the community. Leveraging RMU's strong commitment to athletics, inclusion, and community engagement, the partnership aims to create a welcoming and educational environment for all involved.

This program is designed to highlight adaptive sports during one of the biggest weeks in football, provide an inclusive and engaging experience for the Pittsburgh community, and raise awareness about the importance of disability inclusion in both sports and media.

In addition to hosting the event, Robert Morris University will be recognized as a key community partner, with visibility in event promotions, media outreach, and onsite branding. The collaboration also opens the door for RMU students and staff to get involved, further strengthening the university's role in fostering inclusive initiatives.
