D4 Seniors

RMU D4 Hockey Wins Big On Senior Night

The RMU D4 men's hockey team honors its seniors against the CMU Tartans on Saturday, January 24th, 2026. It is a great time to honor these seniors and congratulate them on their journeys and accomplishments. 

 

Connor Borsch #2

Degrees: Sports management and a certificate in sales

After Graduation Plans: After graduation, Connor plans to work for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and the Tampa Bay Lightning. 

Most Memorable Moment: Connor's most memorable moment was popping the champagne after winning the championship.

Miss the most about D4 Hockey: Connor will miss most about D4 hockey ordering 4 for 4's on Wendy's Wednesday

Connor thanks his parents for supporting him in everything he does. 

 

Kris Connelly #3

Degree: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and Master's in Engineering Management

After Graduation Plans: Work in fluid mechanics, where he is currently applying in the Pittsburgh area. 

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Scoring a goal and winning the championship with his brother at the collegiate level. 

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Cuddle time with the boys. 

Thank his parents for driving him to the rink during his childhood, and all his teammates for all the good times he had. 

 

Zachary Connelly #4

Degree: Cybersecurity bachelor's concentration in digital forensics and a master's in cyber investigations and intelligence. 

After Graduation Plans: Travel abroad through the pre-game bubble baths, flea program for 10 days before starting his career

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Freshman year, when his team had a 5-goal lead in the championship win and pulled off a win in overtime. 

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Pre-game bubble baths, his secret for making the starting lineups. Future colonials take notes. 

Zack would like to thank his parents for their constant support, as well as past and present teammates for helping him push and grow both on and off the ice. 

 

John-Wayne Kravitz #10

Degree: History and political science with a major concentration in early law school admissions

After Graduation Plans: Attending the University of Akron Law to earn his JD. 

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Winning the D4 championship his freshman year. 

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Late-night bus rides and Sheetz runs with these teammates. 

Thanks to his parents for their constant sacrifice to allow him to play the game he always loves. Thank teammates and coaches, and create bonds he will cherish for the rest of his life. 

 

Elijah Zeis-Miller #10

Degree: Graphic design 

After Graduation Plans: Find a job in his field

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Winning a game and a fight in the championship, his sophomore year

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: His friends, but as Tucci says, those friends and those memories will last a lifetime

Thanks to his parents for always supporting him, and especially his grandfather for allowing him to play hockey his whole life, and for being able to make these memories

 

Mitchel Quinn #13

Degree: Nursing

After Graduation Plans: Plans to get hired

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Winning back-to-back championships and coach nicks secret private training lessons in the shed. 

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Bath time with coach Ray. 

Wanrs to thank his parents for pushing him to do better every step of the way and sweet baby Jesus for this Domino's pizza. 

 

Owen Romano #15

Degree: Mechanical engineering

After Graduation Plans: Work for a dredging company, then find a job in aerospace engineering

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Being able to play with his roommates and creating lifelong friends and family

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Playing at a competitive level of hockey and being around a team

Thanks to his parents for allowing him to play hockey. 

 

Chase Dawkin #21 

Degree: Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, and is working ona masters in engineering management

After Graduation Plans: Move to Bora Bora and enjoy life as a professional ice cream taster

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: The funny looks he gets while driving the Zamboni in his equipment

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Their relationships I formed with my teammates and coaches. 

Thanks to his parents for always believing in me. My sister, my grandpa, and my girlfriend for sitting in the cold to watch me play, and my teammates for pushing me to be a better player and person. Also, thank coach Ray, coach Nick, and coach Lytle for making this season a great experience

 

Carter Bossong #27

Degree: Bachelor's in Science in Spyware Engineering 

After Graduation Plans: plans to look for a job

Most Memorable Moment playing D4 Hockey: Freshman year, winning the championship that year

What will you miss the most about D4 hockey: Practicing and playing games with the team

Thanks to his parents for teaching me everything I know about hockey and always driving me to tournaments and games, as well as my sister and girlfriend for always supporting me.

1st Period
RMU came out early #21 Chase Dawkin, who scored a top-left snipe at 11:30, putting the Colonials on the board and setting the tone for the rest of the night.

2nd Period
#10 Elijah Zeis-Miller extended RMU's lead at 15:45, assisted by #15 Owen Romano. The duo connected for a goal that showcased their on-ice chemistry. CMU managed a goal at 9:45, but RMU maintained control of the game.

3rd Period
Elijah Zeis-Miller completed his hat trick with a goal at 1:11, assisted by #23 Billy Shaver. His shot sealed the win for RMU, sending the home crowd into celebration.
The Colonials' performance on Senior Night was a perfect display of skill, teamwork, and determination. With contributions from players and seniors. RMU secured a memorable victory that honored both the present and the past of the program.

We would like to wish our seniors the best of luck as they begin the next chapter of their lives. Keep working hard, work towards your dreams. The sky is the limit.
