The RMU Bowling teams turned in outstanding performances at OBC held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, an impressive start to their season.

Men's Varsity - 1st Place

Men's Varsity snagged first place, starting off the conference, and collegiate season, with a bang. They led the field throughout the majority of the day, and despite a strong effort from Mercyhurst University at the end of the tournament, they were able to hang on and come away with a nailbiting two pin victory.

The Colonials were led by freshman Nick Trentler, who finished in first place individually (+95) to make the All Tournament Team in his Collegiate Debut, sophomore Chase Smith, who placed third individually (+36) to also make the All Tournament Team, and sophomore Blayze Denny, who finished 12th individually anchored the team throughout the majority of the baker games.

Men's Junior Varsity - 1st Place

Men's Junior Varsity also grabbed a first place finish to start off the season strong. They were near the top of the standings throughout the day, but found themselves trailing going into the baker portion of the tournament. They started off slow in the first game, but after that they took off and never looked back. At the end of the tournament, they found themselves on top, over 370 pins ahead of the second place team.

They were led by junior Bryce Kline, who finished in second place individually (+7) to make the All-Tournament Team, sophomore Carson Reid, who shined as anchor in the baker portion of the tournament, and freshman Chase Leckner, who finished 12th place individually and was a pivotal part of their success in the baker portion as well.

Women's Varsity - 9th Place

Women's Varsity turned in a strong performance in their first tournament of the year, coming in 9th place. A nice start to the year for a team whose core graduated this past year and brought in a strong freshman class. Led by freshman Makenzie Seegler, who finished 12th place individually, this was a great performance for their first tournament of the season. We are very excited to see how they build upon this performance and continue to improve throughout the season.
