The Clean Kids BackPack Program recently held a successful donation drive across RMU's campus and at the Island Sports Center, highlighting the impact of a collaborative community effort to support homeless school children in Central Valley.
The donation drive was led by Gavin Crivelli and sponsored by our ACHA hockey teams in partnership with the Pre-Law Society. Together, they collected hundreds of personal care items for local homeless school children, with a total estimated value exceeding $1,800. Their combined efforts demonstrate the power of teamwork both on and off the ice.
During the presentation, Ms. Hicks accepted backpacks filled with essential personal care items on behalf of Central Valley students experiencing homelessness. These backpacks are designed to provide dignity, comfort, and practical support to children who often lack access to basic necessities.
We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in the Clean Kids Backpack donation drive. Through strong community partnerships and student involvement, the program continues its mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in need.
