The 2025 season was a landmark chapter for the Robert Morris University Club Baseball team, highlighted by a historic run to the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) Division III World Series Championship Game. After securing the 2025 NCBA Division III District Playoff title, the Colonials earned their spot on the national stage, traveling to Butler, Pennsylvania, from May 16–18 to compete against the best in the country.
Ranked #2 in the NCBA Division III Final Rawlings Top 10 Poll, RMU met expectations and then some, making a deep postseason run and finishing as the national championship runner-up, the highest finish in program history.
NCBA DIII World Series Performance
Game 1:
#2 RMU 6 – #3 UW–Stevens Point 4
Nate Schmid powered the offense, going 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs as the Colonials opened the tournament with a strong win.
Game 2:
#2 RMU 5 – #4 Craven CC 3
Senior captain Joey Asvestas stepped up with a double and 3 RBIs, while Brady Brazell pitched a complete game, holding the Panthers to just 3 runs. The win secured RMU a spot in the national title series.
Championship Game 1:
RMU 0 – Craven CC 19
A tough game saw the Colonials overwhelmed by a red-hot Craven offense.
Championship Game 2:
RMU 6 – Craven CC 9
RMU battled back with improved offensive production but came up short in the series finale.
Despite dropping both games in the Championship Series, RMU showcased resilience and elite-level play throughout the tournament.

A Season to Remember
The 2025 season marks a turning point for RMU Club Baseball, with the Colonials establishing themselves as a premier program in the NCBA Division III. With strong senior leadership, deep postseason experience, and national recognition, the foundation is set for even greater success in the years to come.
