Lacy Edgington, a standout member of the Butler Area Senior High School Girls Bowling Team, has officially signed with the Robert Morris University (RMU) Women's Bowling Team. The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, February 18, in Butler, PA, where Lacy was joined by her family, friends, and coaches.
A dedicated bowler, Lacy has been part of the Butler Bowling Team for two years and competes in two leagues. She is currently ranked 9th in the Northwest Section of the Western PA Interscholastic Bowling League. RMU Co-Coaches Jon Pitcavage and Katie Shumaker-Saunier attended the ceremony to welcome Lacy to the program.
"We are thrilled to have Lacy join the women's team at RMU," said Coach Katie Shumaker-Saunier. Coach Jon Pitcavage added, "Lacy will be a great addition to our roster and will help elevate the women's program in our conference and beyond." Director John Michalenko shared his excitement, stating, "I am pleased that Lacy will attend RMU and compete in the sport she loves. Her enthusiasm for the game will be greatly appreciated."
Lacy will begin her studies at RMU in August, majoring in Nursing. The RMU Club Sports department is excited to welcome her to the university.
