RMU ACHA Women's D2 Clinches Playoff Spot With Win Over Pitt
Alpha Ice Complex – February 7, 2025, The RMU ACHA Women's D2 hockey team secured a 3-0 victory on the road at Pitt Fridaynight. The win allowed the Colonials to clinch a playoff spot. This will be the first RMU Women's D2 appearance in the CHE playoffs since the team was established in 2022.
The Colonials played a disciplined game, and the shutout victory showed resilience and determination as they head into the postseason.Goalie #29 Kirsten Lallone stood strong to earn herself the shutout win for the night.
Colonials #7 Sydnee Pitkins started the scoring off early in the first period. Later into the second period of the game, #15 Mikayla Lange-Bittner and #3 Becky Shook scored for the Colonials to make the score 3-0. The Colonials fought hard and kept the score 3-0 for the rest of the game. With the win, RMU solidified their position in the playoffs, continuing their quest for a championship.

RMU ACHA D1 Dominates Duquesne Dukes at Home
Clearview Arena – Friday, February 7, 2025, The RMU ACHA D1 hockey team secured an impressive 7-2 victory over the Duquesne Dukes on Friday night at home, powered by a dynamic offensive performance.
After the first period, we saw no scoring from either team with an even matchup tonight on the ice. After returning for the second period, the Duquesne Dukes placed one on the scoreboard during the period, but the Colonials fought hard and put up five goals in the second. The Colonials continued to fight hard in the third, scoring two more times and the Dukes only could put up one more goal. The Colonials long fought game pushed them to the top of scoring opportunities, securing a 7-2 win against the Duquesne Dukes.

RMU ACHA D4 Celebrates Senior Night with Victory Over Cal U
RMU Island Sports Center– February 8, 2025, RMU D4 men's hockey team celebrated Senior Night in style, defeating Cal U in a thrilling matchup Saturday night at Clearview Arena. Surrounded by friends, family, and fans, the seniors were honored for their contributions and leadership throughout their careers.
Seniors are as listed: #28 Owen McFarland, #6 Zack Page, #30 Keeghan Mackey, #31 Andrew Keihl, #12 Nathaniel Barr
The seniors were recognized on the ice, sharing emotional moments with teammates, coaches, friends, and family. It was a fitting night dedicated to celebrating their hard work and dedication. The Colonials displayed energy, controlling the pace and showcasing their offensive power. Strong teamwork and defensive play secured the victory, giving the seniors a memorable game.
In the first period, Cal U started scoring in the last seconds, making the score 1-0. In the last two periods of the game, the Colonials scored 4 times to change the pace of the game. #2 Connor Borsh rushed the puck up the ice, making a move on Cal U's goalie to add a goal to the colonial's scoreboard. Following this goal, #18 Timothy Williams scored his first career goal for the Colonials on a backhand shot in front of Cal U's goalie. #14 Tullio DiDomenico and #22 Brice Mroczka also scored on strong plays, making the game 4-1.
Both senior goalies had their chance in the net, #31 Andrew Keihl starting the game and #30 Keegan Mackey finishing off the win for the Colonials.

RMU ACHA D3 Celebrates Senior Night Win Against Duquesne
Clearview Arena – February 8, 2025, RMU ACHA D3 men's hockey team honored their seniors on Saturday night during a heartfelt Senior Night ceremony at Clearview Arena. Sharing the evening with the D4 team, the D3 squad celebrated the legacy and leadership of their graduating players.
Seniors are as follows: #8 Jack Jones, #17 John Betz, #3 Justin Newton, #29 Gunner Fulton, and #25 Daniel Killen.
Before the game, the seniors were recognized on the ice as their families gathered around as the seniors were honored. They received well-deserved applause and appreciation from fans, teammates, coaches, friends, and family. The Colonials played with intensity and pride, giving their all to secure a win on this special night. The seniors led by example, inspiring their teammates and leaving a lasting impact on the program.
The final score of the game was 7-4 RMU, the team fighting to be placed on top for their senior night celebration.
