First Period

RMU responded with #14 Tullio DiDominico tying the game, skating into the zone, and firing a shot that bounced off the post and into the back of the net for his first goal of the season. Moments later, #7 Sidney Crabtree netted his first goal of the year at 10:05 after a feed from #13 Mitch Klym, regaining the lead for the Colonials.

#23 Billy Shaver found the back of the net at 3:15, assisted by #21 Chase Dawkin, with a clean cross-ice pass. RMU finished off the period when #10 Elijah Zeis-Miller scored his second of the night at 1:16, assisted by #3 Kris Connelly. The shot and rebounded in front of the net to put RMU up 5–4 heading into the final period.

Third Period

Early in the third, #27 Carter Bossong increased RMU's lead to 6–4 at 19:17 with a quick shot assisted by #26 Joseph Pulleo. However, CMU refused to go quietly, scoring three goals in the period, including two on the power play. With CMU pulling their goalie for the extra attacker, #15 Owen Romano sealed the deal with an empty-net goal, securing the 7–5 victory for the Colonials. Between the pipes, goalie #1 Jimmy Capell held strong for RMU, making several key saves to preserve the win.

It was a complete team effort from the Colonials. The victory improves RMU's record and highlights its ability to battle through. The Colonials will look to carry this momentum into their next game.
