RMU FIFA Esports Advances to Round of 16

Player Murtadha Albahrani picks up the win over IVC, advances to face Fanshawe College

Moon, PA- One of the newest titles that RMU Esports is competing in is FIFA, and player Murtadha Albahrani's season has gone incredibly well so far. During the regular season of the Playvs FIFA 21 Solos season, Albahrani, a senior biomedical engineering major picked up victories against schools like the University of Houston, Irvine Valley College, and Barry University. Thanks to his strong regular season play, Murtadha qualified for the postseason as the 12 seed in a 32 player field.

In his opening round matchup, he got a rematch with a regular season opponent he defeated in Irvine Valley College. He was victorious in the regular season, and that did not change the second time around as RMU picked up the opening round victory 3-0 to advance.

Murtadha Albahrani has his round of sixteen matchup tonight against the 5 seed Fanshawe College Falcons. The two did not meet in the regular season so it'll be a new opponent for the opportunity to advance to the final eight. With a win, RMU would face the winner of 4 seed Santa Fe College or 13 seed University of Houston.
