Richard Zapp has joined RMU as the inaugural head coach of its Esports program. Zapp comes to RMU from Slippery Rock University where he earned both a bachelors of science degree in psychology and a master of arts in higher education with a focus in counseling. He has previous experience in student affairs having served as a career coach and a vocational and adult services supervisor during his graduate studies. Coach Zapp has a background in competitive gaming that includes a role as Content Production Manager for 3xG Productions where he develops content in various forms of audiovisual media. Zapp has been a nationally ranked player in the Kaijudo Training Card game, ranking as high as 7th internationally. He's been voted the top Theorycrafter in the field by his peers in a poll that included 200 elite participants.
